There is fear of Guldar in Pauri district. In Nikal village of Srinagar, a Guldar turned a 3 year old girl into a morsel of food. When the villagers created an uproar, the Guldar ran away leaving the girl behind, by which time she had died. There is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the incident. The villagers have demanded the forest department to declare Guldar a man-eater and kill him.
