According to the Meteorological Department, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Tehri, Haridwar, Pauri, Nainital, Bageshwar, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar districts today. Normal life may remain affected due to heavy rains in some places of these districts for the next two days. Given this, a red alert has been issued and appealed not to go to sensitive areas. Apart from this, a yellow alert for rain has been issued for Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora, and Pithoragarh districts.
