Last day, on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Governor Lt. Gen. Gurmit Singh (Retd) paid tribute to the brave martyrs by laying a wreath at the martyr's memorial at Chirbagh, Shaurya Sthal. Saluting the Bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil victory, the Governor recalled their sacrifice. On this occasion, he said that the victory achieved by our brave soldiers in Kargil by defeating the enemies with their bravery and valor despite the adverse geographical conditions was historic.
