Due to heavy rains, the administration has banned movement on the Chardham Yatra route from eight in the night to five in the morning for security reasons. During this, traffic will remain closed on Rishikesh-Badrinath, Rudraprayag-Gaurikund, Kund-Ukhimath-Chopta-Mandal-Gopeshwar Highway and Gangotri-Yamunotri Highway. However, the movement of emergency and military vehicles will remain smooth during this period. This decision has been taken due to the activation of falling stones, landslides and landslide zones on the Chardham Yatra route.
