On March 24, the police received information on 112 that an elderly person had fallen from the road and was lying in an injured state near Ghaneli, ahead of Kalimath in Hawalbagh block, Almora. Taking prompt action by the jawans of the Fire Unit Almora on the information, the elderly person was rescued from the ditch and taken to the hospital through 108 services.
